1st Logo (1981?-1989)

Visuals: On a black background, an object flies from the left and swoops to the right, zooming in to reveal a large red 5-pointed star. On it, the text "BEST FILM & VIDEO, CORP." is seen in white with a black drop shadow. It remains still for several seconds before it swoops back out, albeit to the right.

Technique: Basic zooming effects.

Audio: None.

Availability: Can be found on releases of videos such as Benji: Double Feature.

2nd Logo (1989-1993)


Visuals: On a black background, it zooms out to reveal a black star with a gold trailing outline, forming streaks of yellow, orange, and {{color}purple}} surrounding it. From the center, the funky-looking text BEST FILM VIDEO, stacked and colored in a shiny blue and white mix, zooms in. The text shines.

Technique: Scanimate.

Audio: A dreamy-like piano piece.

Availability: Can be found on early releases of Marvel Comics-based cartoon videos. This was also spotted on Video Wars.

3rd Logo (1990?-1993)


Visuals: On a black background, a fuzzy-looking red star is seen in the center of the screen. The text "BEST FILM & VIDEO CORPORATION" slides down from the top and rests in front of the star with a drop shadow. After a few seconds, it slides down off-screen as it fades out.

Variant: Sometimes it has the text reading "A BEST FILM & VIDEO CORPORATION PRESENTATION", and the animation is slightly different.

  • Closing: Same as the opening logo, only in the background are sped-up "action" scenes such as fireworks, a sunrise, and a highway.

Technique: Computer effects, placed over live-action footage.

Audio: None.

Availability: Can be found on releases of Marvel Comics-based cartoon videos, and reprints of titles from Imperial Entertainment, among others. The opening variant also appears on the restored VHS of El Cid and several Streamline dubs which BF&VC had the rights too.
