Bethesda Game Studios
Background
Bethesda Game Studios is a division of Bethesda Softworks, which was formed in 2001 for in-house game development, with its parent company solely handling distribution onwards. The studio is responsible for The Elder Scrolls (since 2002) and Fallout (since 2008) series.
1st Logo (March 20, 2006-December 14, 2007)
Visuals: On a black background, a metallic cogwheel fades in with its middle part cut off. As it turns and stops, the metallic words "BETHESDA" and "GAME STUDIOS" fade in between the cogwheel's middle space, and the logo starts zooming in. The cogwheel and "GAME STUDIOS" fade out first, while "BETHESDA" remains for an extra second.
Technique: 2D computer animation.
Audio: Sounds of the cogwheel turning, followed by ambience.
Availability: Seen on The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
2nd Logo (November 11, 2011)
Visuals: On a black background, there is the metallic Bethesda Game Studios logo slightly zoom in as a light passes through it.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A quiet dark ambiance sound.
Availability: Seen on The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
3rd Logo (November 10, 2015-November 14, 2018)
Visuals: On a black and white "PLEASE STAND BY" test pattern, the inner circle of the test pattern turns into a cog, which zooms out and reveals the texts "BETHESDA GAME STUDIOS" in the middle part. The screen then fades into static.
Variant: On Fallout 76, the test pattern is in color.
Technique: 2D digital animation.
Audio: Film popping sounds and static.
Availability: Seen on Fallout 4 and Fallout 76.
4th Logo (April 10, 2024-)
Visuals: On the room, there is the Bethesda Game Studios logo on a 1950's TV with static effects, as the camera slowly zooms in before it glitches.
Technique: A mix of 2D digital animation and live-action.
Audio: The sound of the TV static.
Availability: Seen on the TV adaptation of Fallout on Amazon Prime Video.
