Background
Bloom Media was the successor company to Media 8 Entertainment. It went defunct at some point in 2021.
1st Logo (2012?-2016)
Logo: It begins with a dark background with blue light-like objects, where we see a lots of multicolored flowers and plants. The scene zooms out, showing more views of the flowers and plants. When it done zooming out, it shifts and rotates into place, and the text "BLOOM" in a geometric font, with "OO" being an infinity symbol, reveals itself. A faint purple and blue glow surrounds the edge of the screen.
Technique: Great CGI.
Music/Sounds: None or the opening theme. On rare occassions, the theme from the 2003-2010 Media 8 Entertainment logo is possibly heard.
Availability: Rare. It appeared on The Sea of Trees (2015) and Unlocked (2017).
2nd Logo (2016-2021?)
-
Suburbicon variant
Logo: On a black background, we see a white light that draws the infinity symbol. The light dies down, and it turns into soild white, revealing the text "BL" and "M" so that that full logo reads "BLOOM".
Variants:
- There are widescreen and CinemaScope versions.
- On international prints of Suburbicon, the logo appears customised alongside the other logos for the film (along with Black Bear Pictures, Dark Castle Entertainment, and Smokehouse Pictures logos) with "PRESENTS" added below. Original U.S. release prints would have Paramount Pictures print logo instead as a variant, but without "Paramount" script on the print logo (see variations here).
Technique: Nice CGI from Prologue.
Music/Sounds: None or the opening theme of the movie.
Availability: Easier to find than the previous logo, but it is still uncommon, and is no longer currently in use.
- First debuted on the international sales release of The Nice Guys (2016), and can be seen on some international prints of their releases by the company.
- Notable releases that have the logo include the international release (mainly Australian or South Korean releases) of Suburbicon (2017) (as a variant, while the closing logo is seen at the end of credits), Hostiles (2017), Rebel in the Rye (2017), Dragged Across Concrete (2018), and High Strung Free Dance (2019)
