Background

Bluepoint Games is an American video game developer founded in Houston, Texas in 2006. The studio is best known for its work on remasters and re-releases of older games to modern platforms - the God of War Collection, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and the ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection on PlayStation 3 (the Metal Gear Solid collection was also available on Xbox 360), in addition to Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Gravity Rush: Remastered on PlayStation 4. Bluepoint has also developed several full-on remakes of titles like Shadow of the Colossus and most recently Demon's Souls. After maintaining a close relationship with Sony for several years, Bluepoint was acquired and officially became part of PlayStation Studios on September 30, 2021[1].
