Background

Bold Films was the production company founded in 2004 by Russian businessman Michel Litvak. In 2006, producer David Lancaster joined the company as co-president. After Lancaster left the company in 2014 to form their production company Rumble Films, Litvak regained control of the company. The company formed a London office in 2015, but it was later closed in 2018.

1st Logo (April 26, 2005-September 6, 2008)


Visuals: We see a shirtless man standing on a rocky beach. He jumps up into space, flipping as he does so. The text "B O L D F I L M S" zooms out, the O centering on the man. The earth can be seen at the bottom.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A resounding violin fanfare.

Availability: First seen on Slingshot (the company's first film) and last seen on Middle of Nowhere.

2nd Logo (January 22, 2010-)


Visuals: On a black background, the smoke forming the letters with the "B" appears, while the letters "O", "L", and "D" also appearing and then the word "F I L M S" appears when the logo completes, then the logo disappears when a splash appears.

Variants:

  • A still version is seen at the end of the films.
  • On Black Box, the word "F I L M S" is replaced by "T E L E V I S I O N".
