Background
Brilliant Film Group is a company from Hong Kong, founded in 1997.
Brilliant Idea Group
1st Logo (1997-1999)
Visuals: The logo starts in a starry night sky accompanies with semi-futuristic stone architecture, the orange lava then flows as the camera follows, it then zooms back a bit to finish the 2 Chinese characters logo and multiple lasers shoots toward it before the light gleams, revealing the bronze orange Chinese word in a shiny golden rectangle. It then zooms out and the sparkle lights appears to form a large "BIG" words in dark blue color. The stony background fades into a blue-ish metallic background and then the Chinese characters and the companies name "BRILLIANT IDEA GROUP LTD" appears with each letters and characters spinning while moving forward to finish it.
Variant: Sometimes, a different jingle is used. Later releases replace with a different jingles consisting of a bravest fanfare tune and the whooshes. A print logo exists and can only be seen after the credit of a movie.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A chilling synth tune accompanies with laser sound and then dramatic orchestra jingle.
Availability: Seen on most films releases until 1999, such as Lawyer, Lawyer, Full Alert, Love and Let Love, Bio-Zombie, The Lucky Guy and Killing Me Tenderly.
2nd Logo (1999-2001)
Visuals: On a metallic funhouse filled with colored lights and metallic supporting frames, there is a yellow robotic man skating on the air. Then the camera zooms back, revealing a yellow square with a stylized camera and the letters "B" "I" and "G". The company's name and its translation, zoom out.
Variant: A shortened version exists.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A piano tune accompanies with robotic sound, the futuristic hover sound and whooshes.
Availability: Seen on some movies released from 1999 to 2001. It has been spotted on Bullets Over Summer and the trailer for Victim. A shortened version can be seen only on Feel 100% II.
3rd Logo (August 19, 2004)
Visuals: The symbol from the previous logo spins to the right with a motion blur, while revealing the Chinese company name in yellow with the "BRILLIANT IDEA GROUP LTD" text below it. Both texts appear next to the square.
Technique: 2D animation.
Audio: A wacky cartoonish running sound and then a cartoonish bouncing sound effect.
Availability: Seen on Hidden Heroes.
BIG Pictures
4th Logo (2006-2009)
Visuals: The word "BIG Pictures" appears automatically. A shine appears.
Technique: 2D animation.
Audio: None.
Availability: Seen on Butterfly Lovers.
5th Logo (2009-2012)
Visuals: A still logo consisting of a large "BIG" that written in Arial Black font with the text "PICTURES LIMITED" underneath it along with 4 Chinese characters. The logo zooms in slowly until it stops, before a large red circle fades in and appears on top of "I" in the word "BIG" while a few Chinese characters also turns into red.
Technique: A still, digital graphic.
Audio: None, or the opening theme or the opening sound of a movie.
Availability: Seen on movies released from early 2010s, like the 2010 film, Beauty on Duty.
