C2 Pictures was founded in 1998 by Mario Kassar and Andrew G. Vajna[1], owners of Carolco Pictures, Cinergi Pictures Entertainment, and Seven Arts Pictures (the latter a joint venture between Carolco and New Line Cinema) after those companies either shut down or went bankrupt.
