CBC Home Video was a home media division of The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

1st Logo (1978-1985?)

Visuals: On a black background, a navy blue slide comes in from the right and flips several times before curving over and filling up the whole screen as it stops. On it is a red rectangle, with the 1976 CBC logo on the top and a strange spool-like object on the bottom, creating a Betamax-like shape. Below it is "VIDEO" in white along with an underline.

Technique: Computer graphics.

Audio: None.

Availability: It appeared on a Betamax of Don Messer's Jubilee, and appeared on other Betamax and VHS tapes around the time. It's unknown if it was used from 1986-1992.

2nd Logo (1992-2005)

Visuals: On a silver cloudy background, ripples start to form in the center of the screen, as well smaller ripples forming around the perimeter of it in the upper left and bottom right sections. The ripples start to intensify as the CBC logo in silver rises from the surface and then shines. Throughout the entire animation, the text "CBC" and the logo in red is seen below in the bottom left corner, and "Home Video" slides out from the right.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The music from the 1992 CBC bumper, but without an announcer.

Availability: Can be seen on some Canadian videotapes as well as DVD titles, including some Royal Canadian Air Farce tapes, as well as The Raccoons: Collector's Edition DVDs. In America, some of their tapes are distributed by Video Artists International and they have this logo at the end.
