Background
CKCO-TV is a CTV affiliate in Kitchener, Ontario.
1st ID (1992-1994)
Visuals: Inside a translucent cylinder, there is the CTV logo in the top right corner and on the left, a stack of vertical lines in a near-spiral pattern. The camera pans out to see 3 gold squares (two small squares on the top left and bottom right corners of a larger square) with CKCO-TV in gold next to it. The shape and letters turn and place themselves in the center at a slight angle as three streaks in CTV's colors circle around the cylinder. A few more streaks fly around or up the cylinder as the CTV logo and lines continue to rotate inside it.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A jazz tune with an announcer saying, "We're CKCO-TV". Otherwise, there's no announcer.
Availability: Found on a CKCO-TV recording from 1993.
2nd ID (1994-1998)
Visuals: Same as the BBS Productions logo, but with the "CKCO-TV" callsign fading in.
Variant: For the sign-off variant, there's a still shot of this logo.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: Same as the BBS Productions logo. A female announcer saying "You're watching CKCO-TV. Part of BBS Family stations" or "We're CKCO-TV".
Availability: Found on a CKCO recording from 1997, at the start of CKCO Action News.
3rd ID (1998-2003)
Visuals: The same CTV ident plays, but with huge "CKCO" text on the top.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: Same as the BBS Productions logo.
Availability: Used before any sign-on and sign-off on the air.
4th ID (2003-2007)
Visuals: On a blue background, there is a zooming CKCO-TV logo, which stops after a few seconds.
Variant: A slowed down variant was used as a sign-off ident.
Technique: 2D digital animation.
Audio: A country rock theme.
Availability: Seen as a sign-on and sign-off ident in 2003-2007.
