Background

Capitol International was an Italian film producer distributor active between 1975 and 1978, with The Inglorious Bastards as their most famous flick.

Logo (August 28, 1975-November 2, 1978)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a huge red circle moving further away from us. Once it settles in position, the black background turns vivid red. After that, twenty-seven stars surround the circle (in a similar fashion to Paramount's) appearing one by one. Then over the circle, a picture of the U.S. Capitol fades in. Below it is the word "CAPITOL" (in Microgramma) in a fancy filmstrip (in a position reminiscent to MGM's). The word "INTERNATIONAL" (also in Microgramma) appears letter by letter under "CAPITOL".

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: A 60s style fanfare.

Availability: Can be seen on the 1978 movie The Inglorious Bastards.
