Background

CeQuadrat was a software developer headquartered in Aachen, Germany. Their most notable product is the WinOnCD CD burning program.

Logo (1990s-2000s)

Visuals: The logo starts with a blue-tinted space background with a comet flying around the screen. A disc tray then comes from the top, containing a CD disc with a blue serif "C" and a cubed dot at the top-right of it with a black outline. The tray then moves back as the disc comes out of it and starts spinning. The CD then fades out and a spinning Earth globe fades in, with the moon orbiting around it. The Earth then fades, and the same "C" appears flipping in, and a white spot appears as it turns into the cubed sign. The logo zooms out as the comet keeps on shooting to the left, and a white frame appears zooming out around the logo, containing the black "CeQuadrat" below. The same comet then reappears and shoots out from the space to the environment of the logo. A square then comes out behind the logo and shuts off the space environment behind it.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A brief rising synth note at the beginning which is interrupted, and then a rock theme with several whooshing sounds.

Availability: Seen on VCDs that were made with CeQuadrat software. It notably appears in various Indian VCDs of movies and music video compilations, such as those of Shemaroo Entertainment.
