Background

Central Partnership is a producer and distributor of high-quality film and television products, and is the largest independent company in the Russian film industry. Founded on March 6th, 1996 as a television distributor, Central Partnership soon branched out into cinema distribution (since 2000) and is now one of the top Russian distributors. Central Partnership also distributes Russian films, many of which are produced by the company itself. In 2009, the company started distributing titles from Paramount Pictures in Russia, which lasted until 2022. Being owned by Prof-Media at first (since 2005), it was bought by Gazprom-Media in February 2014.

1st Logo (1998)

Visuals: The sequence starts with a red lens flare flash occuring, causing a group of sparkles to burst in as well as a dark moving cloudy background fading in. Multiple metallic orbs, each one containing three rotating rings (folded into one), fly out from various corners to the center. After a while, the same lens flare passes by upwards to the right as another group of sparkles bursts in, then the cloudy background fades out to black as a silver ring with thick, stylized letters "cp" (with the top end of a former letter being extruded upwards, while the latter letter contains a dot within its counter) fades in, flipping in from the left. As a ring with the letters settles to the center, the former morphs into a rounded rectangle as both of them settle still to face the camera, while two sparkles slide in from left and right respectively to form the stacked, stretched-out text "CENTRAL PARTNERSHIP", which zooms out below the rectangle and shines with the same two sparkles.

Technique: CGI animation.

Audio: A deep synth drone sounder (most likely a stock piece) throughout the whole logo over wind-blowing sounds, accompanied by low-pitched electronic beeps. A loud screeching sound is heard during the reveal of the logo as well as a synthesized slashing sound during the formation of the text.

Audio Trivia: Like the Paradox and MagixEyes Entertainment logos, this logo uses the Roland D-50 "Digital Native Dance" preset.

Availability: Its only known appearance is the film Крутые: смертельное шоу.

2nd Logo (November 4, 2003-November 3, 2011)

Visuals: The screen zooms through a sky full of cumulus clouds, with a mountain chain far away. When the camera flies into the cloud, the screen fades to another view, where the giant silver zeppelin is flying. The name "central partnership" (with C and P being done in the same style as before, albeit bolder; while the rest of the letters is set in Magistral ExtraBold Italic) wipes itself with sparkles, aligned to the board of zeppelin. While the transport moves away, two metallic letters "cp" (in the same style) zoom out, revealing that everything is actually a reflection of CP, and settle themselves below an image of the zeppelin above the clouds, with the stacked words above it:

Ц Е Н Т Р А Л
ПАРТНЕРШИП

Variants:

  • On certain films like Дедлайн and Отрыв, the name is written in English.
  • A still version appears on some films like Пять невест.
  • On Волкодав из рода Серых Псов, the skies are stormy and the flying zeppelin is crossed by a lightning bolts. Then it flows away to the right and the company name remains in the sky with the lightnings.

Technique: CGI animation.

Audio: A majestic orchestral fanfare with a marching drum beat, a crystalized sound of wiping letters and a female choir.

Audio Variants:

  • On certains films like Дедлайн, the fanfare is slightly rearranged, with a female choir sounding quieter as well as zeppelin sounds being added.
  • On certain shows like Последний бронепоезд, the fanfare would play on later (with a drum beat remaining to play earlier) during the reveal of a zeppelin after wind-blowing sounds, and a choir is completely absent.

Availability: Can be seen on their films and serials from that time period, starting with Бульварный переплёт and ending with Дом.

3rd Logo (November 17, 2011-January 11, 2024?)

Visuals: The screen zooms through a night sky, and the huge concentric city is seen below. A zeppelin flies towards the camera, lights on the lounge, and passes by. The clouds appears in the action, then clear off as the screen switches to the mountain chain with cumulus clouds at a bright daytime, with an enhanced white zeppelin. Again, it quickly passes away, and the screen transitions through clouds into a black background, where the print logo appears; the stylized white zeppelin is shown at first, then the word "ПАРТНЕРШИП" fades in below, followed by "ЦЕНТРАЛ" above it, complete with two forming lines beside the latter word. Rarely, the name is written in English.

Variants:

  • A short version exists where it begins with a daytime shot.
  • On Робо, the logo is still.

Technique: CGI animation by N3 Design.

Audio: An updated theme adapted from the previous logo, enhanced with drums and bells.

Availability: Debuted on Бой с тенью 3D: Последний раунд, it was seen on TV shows, films and newer DVD's and Blu-rays released by CP in Russia, but now it's no longer used as a home video brand. The logo made its possible last appearance on Турбозавры: Год дракона.

4th Logo (February 1, 2024-)

Visuals: The logo starts on a pink-ish/blue-yellow sunset background with a cloudy surface and a snowy mountain (akin to Mount Fuji) on the background. A new, more classic-looking zeppelin then emerges from the clouds below, flying upwards as the camera follows it through a pan to the top right. The zeppelin then morphs (through a type of blue energy) into a sci-fi-ish, much more futuristic zeppelin with a plain white texture and blue boosters at its back. The background also turns into a starfield with the horizon of the Earth at the bottom. After a few seconds, the zeppelin then jumps into lightspeed as the background turns solid black, leaving a trail of blue particles, which then go to the left of the screen and form the new Central Partnership print logo, which features a new stylized zeppelin formed by stripes, and the text at the bottom is now in Arial, but still stacked and separated by lines.

Variant: A slightly different version (mostly likely a prototype) can be found on Pavel Kovalenko's Vimeo page, with a few notable changes, including different animation but with the same concept, the morph going from the front to the back of the zeppelin, and the final logo not turning into the print one, and instead the blue streaks forming both the zeppelin and the text and going through it. The logo and the music is also slightly longer.

  • The said version also has a noticeable animation error: When the background turns into a starfield, the clouds freeze-frame for a split second before disappearing.

Technique: CGI animation.

Audio: A new rendition of the music from the last two logos composed by Pavel Kovalenko, which starts out mellow and dreamy, then as the zeppelin morphs, it turns slightly more dramatic, with an orchestral buildup right before the lightspeed jump, and a few electronic sounds throughout.

Availability: Although the print logo made its debut in December 2023, the theatrical logo debuted on Конец славы and appears on company's newer films since then, such as Адам и Ева.
