Background
Channel 4 Video was a home video arm of Channel 4 that released the channel's programmes on home media, and also select third-party programmes as well. For the first few years of its operation, its releases were distributed by VCI.
1st Logo (1995-2000)
Logo: It's the same as the "Round and Back" variant of the television logo, only "VIDEO" flashes in below once the animation is finished.
Technique: Same as the 1982 TV logo.
Music/Sounds: The same 1992 fanfare from the 1982 TV logo.
Availability:
- Seen on Channel 4 Video releases from the era, distributed by VCI.
- Even though Channel 4's ident changed in 1996, this logo continued to be used afterwards until 2000.
2nd Logo (2000-2005)
Logo: Just the 1999-2004 Channel 4 "Square" logo on a black background.
Variant:
- Later releases from 2003-2004 have the word "video" in a white box below the Channel 4 Square plus the logo fades in and out.
- On Bo Selecta! DVDs, the logo transitions to the DVD menu, which depends on the DVD release.
Technique: None.
Music/Sounds: None.
