Background
Channel 7 HD (officially ช่อง 7 เอชดี in Thailand) is a famous Thai television station formed in November 27, 1967. The station is owned by Bangkok Broadcasting & Television. It was previously owned alongside Royal Thai Army from 1967 until 2018.
1st Logo (1976-1981)
Logo: TBA
FX/SFX: The neon effects and CASCOM International stock footages.
Music/Sounds: A catchy flute and synth tune featuring a choir singing its motto, ending with the three-note square wave glissando.
Availability: Extinct.
2nd Logo (1981-1984)
Logo: On a zooming starfield, a glowing neon projection of a man sitting in a chair moves to the left, rotating as it does so. A blue light is also seen moving in and it's large beams start facing and forcing into the camera, as the screen gets bright. It all disappears and the Channel 7 logo fades in, as more stars appear behind.
FX/SFX: The neon effects, lights and glowing stars.
Music/Sounds: Same as before.
Availability: Extinct.
3rd Logo (1984-1988)
Logo: TBA
FX/SFX: TBA
Music/Sounds: Same as before.
Availability: Extinct.
4th Logo (1988-1997)
Logo: On a space background, the satellite moving slowly and then beaming. After the flash, we see a curved wind tunnel of some sort. A glossy looking Channel 7 logo then moves into us, following the pattern of the tunnel and leaving a trail.
FX/SFX: Decent and simple CGI graphics that actually started to become dated for its period.
Music/Sounds: Same as before.
Availability: Extinct.
5th Logo (1997-2005)
Logo:
- Version 1: On an orange room with a sculpture behind, the planet Earth spinning in blue and some lens flares, we see the Channel 7 logo moving.
- Version 2: On a sunny sky, the sunlight aims a zooming Channel 7 logo from the right.
FX/SFX: Very simple CGI animation, again, it all feels dated and there's not a lot going on.
Music/Sounds: Same as before.
Availability: Extinct.
6th Logo (2005?-)
Logo: On a moving orange-black stripe background, we just see a flipping logo of Channel 7. It's a prime colour with a mixture of secondary colours, looking like a three-prime-coloring spotlights. On the center is a black "7" on a white center background.
Trivia: This suspiciously looks like one of the idents in the time this logo was made and/or used.
Variants: On some dramas, the Thai text, "สถานีโทรทัศน์สีกองทัพบกช่อง 7" appears on top of the logo, usually of a orange color with a shadow effect.
FX/SFX: The flipping CGI logo.
Music/Sounds: Usually an opening theme. Sometimes though, it plays another company's music (usually a co-op company, like Dara Video (Thailand)). Very rarely, it will play its former signature tune (as described in the 1st logo).
Availability: Quite uncommon, but not rare. Should be found online like JaoYing Tang On.
