Background

Channel 3, later known as Channel D, subtitled as "Independent Television Dublin", was a short lived pirate television station in Dublin, Ireland that broadcast from April to August of 1981.

Logo: A stylized capital D on a background of space and a star pattern with smaller dots of light travelling around it, text saying "Channel D Independent Television Dublin" in green scrolls along the bottom.

FX/SFX: The scrolling text and moving lights.

Music/Sounds: An upbeat fanfare.

Availability: Extinct. The station only broadcast for about 5 months and there is little footage available.
