Background

In 1996, FilmFour International changed its name to Channel Four Films for a short time.

Logo (May 24, 1996-May 18, 1999)

Visuals: On a dark background, filled with greenish sun blinks is the white text "CHANNEL FOUR FILMS" slowly zooming in. Then, the left side of a big "4" zooms from beyond and takes "FOUR" inside, making it black. The number is made from two bars and a dot.

Variants:

A shortened version exists, which is seen on Brassed Off.
On Bent, the logo has a orange tint.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A dark ambient soundtrack with ascending booming near to the end.

Availability:

Seen on Brassed Off, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Secrets & Lies.
It was also originally seen on the 1998 film Croupier, but subsequent releases (even the earlier DVD releases) plaster it with the Film4 logos instead.
It was also seen again on the VHS release of Bent in 1999.
