Background
Channel One was one of the oldest television channels in Israel (with only the Israeli Educational Television being older) and one of five terrestrial channels in the country, which is along with Channel 2, Channel 10, Channel 33 and the Knesset Channel. Run by the Israel Broadcasting Authority, it started broadcasting on May 2, 1968, and was largely funded through a television licence. With the abolition of Israel Broadcasting Authority and the establishment of the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation, Channel One closed down on 14 May 2017 and was replaced a few days later with Kan 11.
1st Logo (1986-1993)
Visuals: Over a blue gradient background, the logo starts with 3 cyan similar-looking rings in different sizes spin to the center of the screen until it looks like the print logo. Then the company name appears below the 3 rings and said rings flips in different directions and flip back to its usual form.
Technique: CGI Animation.
Audio: Synth Music.
2nd Logo (1993-1999)
Visuals: The sequence starts off as a sandy background. Then the same rings from the last logo in silver and blue spin and get to the near center of the logo while the number "1" moves by. Then white Israeli text appears next to the rings as the background and the rings swap colors all around. The background colors can be seen from behind.
Technique: CGI Animation.
Audio: A majestic trumpet fanfare.
