Background
Chaos Recordings (or simply "Chaos") was originally a division of (referred to as a "Dimension of") Columbia Records existing from 1992-1994, that released more underground/alternative rock and hip-hop releases. When it closed, it was replaced by a sub-label of Epic Records called The Work Group. However, the Chaos label continued operating in Brazil for several more years after being long defunct in the US.
Logo (2001-2003)
Visuals: A silver frequency meter is seen wildly flailing as a drum solo plays out. "Stereo" in a Microgramma font can also be seen above the meter. When the drum solo reaches the end, it suddenly rotates around to reveal the Chaos logo, which is a dot-matrix circle covered by a scribbled mass, along with "CHAOS" below it. The meter is seen drawing in the last parts of the logo before it moves off-screen, giving a full view of the logo. A strip of black is also seen on the left side of the screen.
Technique: CGI by Guerrilha Filmes.
Audio: The aforementioned drum solo, followed by two men screaming the company name in guttural form.
Audio Trivia: The drum solo was performed by Marcelo Langame, who also did the guttural choir with Juarez Motta.
Availability: This was seen on Chaos' DVDs distributed by Sony Music such as Skank: MTV ao Vivo and Videografia (Skank: MTV Live and Videography), Planet Hemp: MTV ao Vivo (Planet Hemp: MTV Live), and Gabriel o Pensador: MTV ao Vivo (Gabriel o Pensador: MTV Live).
