Background

Charybdis Limited, was a British game development studio founded in 1995 by Andy Smith, Mark Hardisty and Jerry Swan. It closed in April 2000, while working on Magic & Mayhem: The Art of Magic. A majority of its employees went to Climax Nottingham afterwards.

Logo (1996-May 1999)

Visuals: There is the word "Charybdis" in a fancy orange font with a white outline. A winged dragon lies besides, with his tail threaded into the C. The dragon sways a little and opens its mouth angrily. The logo glows orange.

Variant: On Machines, the logo was redone in high definition and has no glow.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: None.

Availability: The animated logo is seen on Super League Pro Rugby 96. Also seen in still form on Machines and Spud.
