Background
Charybdis Limited, was a British game development studio founded in 1995 by Andy Smith, Mark Hardisty and Jerry Swan. It closed in April 2000, while working on Magic & Mayhem: The Art of Magic. A majority of its employees went to Climax Nottingham afterwards.
Logo (1996-May 1999)
Visuals: There is the word "Charybdis" in a fancy orange font with a white outline. A winged dragon lies besides, with his tail threaded into the C. The dragon sways a little and opens its mouth angrily. The logo glows orange.
Variant: On Machines, the logo was redone in high definition and has no glow.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: None.
Availability: The animated logo is seen on Super League Pro Rugby 96. Also seen in still form on Machines and Spud.
