Background
Cheerter Film (H.K.) Co. Ltd. was founded in 1980.
1st Logo (January 9, 1983)
Visuals: On a black background, a stylized spiral-shaped "C" (which looks similar to the logo of Carhartt) zooms in with a trail, overshoots its mark a little bit and backs up. The text "cheerter" fades in below the shape, with the text "CHEERTER FILM (H.K.) CO. LTD." wiping in below that. After that, two sparkly Chinese characters tilted in opposite directions on their top halves fade in on both sides.
Technique: Cel animation.
Audio: A dramatic orchestral tune with glockenspiel notes, which sounds eerily similar to the theme used on the movie Knights of the Round Table.
Availability: Seen on Police Angel.
2nd Logo (November 12, 1983)
Visuals: On a space background, two bright red trails of the Chinese characters from the previous logo zoom in towards the screen and leave behind solid copies of them, with them streaking off the screen. The same symbol from the previous logo, now tinted in gold, fades in, with it having a trail as well, rotating before stopping in its normal angle. The text "CHEERTER FILM (H.K.) CO. LTD." in cerulean zooms up with a trail before stopping below everything.
Technique: Backlit cel animation.
Audio: "Contact" by Johnny Pearson from the KPM Library.
Availability: Seen on The Murder.
