Background
Chosun Film Production Co. (朝鲜映画製作株式會社) or Choei (朝映) was a state-owned film company from Japanese Korea. In 1942, all production companies in Korea were merged into this company. As a result, this company was the only one able to make films in Korea until liberation. Around this time, they produced blatantly pro-Japanese films.[1]
