Background

Cinema City is a Chinese cinema chain founded in 2014 by Raymond Wong. It is not to be confused with the other Cinema City companies, which are completely unrelated.

1st Logo (2014-Present)

Logo: We see 2 C's spinning like a sphere, with their reflections above. They come together in one direction, and spin for a little before moving left and right. CINEMA CITY forms afterward, as the golden glare in the background dies down.

Technique: The C's forming, and the glare in the background.

Audio: A bling sound effect followed by a quiet choir theme, ending with a single piano note.

Availability: Seen as a bumper on the films shown in their cinema, including The First Girl I Loved, The Addams Family 2, and My Country, My Parents. It is also seen as a print logo on the bottom left of their website.

Legacy: While the logo animates fine, it has gained criticism for not featuring the Cinema CIty "three C's" logo, though this is probably intentional, given the fact that this cinema chain is entirely unrelated to the film companies. The font of the text is also too generic.
