Background

Cinematográfica Maristela was a film company from Brazil founded in August 1950. It ceased operations in 1958.

Logo (July 10, 1951-1956)

Visuals: Over a place with a grid windows (with a palm-tree visible behind) and an avil being placed on a stand, there is a tong shown to be clipping the company's logo (which consists of a white outline of a star with a stylistic drawing of an anchor overlapping in the middle). The tong directs the logo down, releasing a white smoke from below. As the smoke engulfes and fades out, the entire thing brightens up and the company's logo is seen at the front of the anvil with a white, serif "CINEMATOGRAFICA MARISTELA" in stacked format below with a small "BRASIL" in white, serif typeface below it.

Technique: Live-action.

Audio: A triumphant trumpet fanfare.

Availability: Seen on Suzana e o Presidente, O Comprador de Fazendas, Simão, o Caolho, and Quem Matou Anabela.
