Background

Cobra Media is a home video distributor who distributed films on VHS tapes in the 1980s.

1st (known) Logo (1980s)

Logo: We start out zooming out of a cobra in a red circle, which reveals a light blue background. On the left of the cobra we see, "Cobra" and "Media" beside the cobra, sitting on a red line. Above it is a long line with the corners on each end with a shadow effect. The logo fades out.

FX/SFX: Simple zooming effects.

Music/Sounds: "Moog Statement 14" by Andy Clarke, which is also used in other logos like Media West Home Video's, Crown Movie Classics', and, in the form of a slowed-down version, Worldvision Enterprises' and Worldvision Home Video's.
