Background

Compile Heart is a Japanese game developer founded in June 2, 2006 as a subsidiary of Idea Factory and was formerly headed by Masamitsu Niitani, the former founder and executive of Compile and creator of the hit Japanese video game franchises Puyo Puyo and Madou Monogatari. It is the spiritual successor of defunct Japanese video game developer Compile (later renamed to Aiky during the time when Compile is going down under.) and are pretty much well-known for their Hyperdimension Neptunia and Record of Agarest War video game brands.

(November 16, 2006-)

Logo: On a black background, a transparent, peach-colored heart come in from the top of the screen, with on it a wedge-shaped "C" while trailing out bubbles and little circles. It spins around to the center of the screen, spinning around while a light pink heart and pink heart come in from the right and left side of the screen, respectively, as they do the same thing. The hearts then meet in the center, where 2 yellow pulses appear, the latter of which forms the Compile Heart logo, which is a heart in peach, salmon, and warm pink respectively with the "C" in the center. The logo zooms into the screen, with an afterimage coming in faster. 2 waves then appear with the distorted text "COMPILE HEART" in a warm pink font similar to the Compile logo, on them before the background brightens to white and the logo zooms out to the left of the screen. The name then types in with a warm pink square as the Japanese characters "株式会社コンパイルハート" fades in above it.

Variant: Sometimes, the Japanese characters don't appear on the logo.

Technique: The hearts spinning and coming towards the screen, the logo zooming out, the name typing in.

Music/Sounds: A 4-note "Doo, Doo, Doo, DOO" theme, which is accomplished with a shing synth, strings, and beeps when the text types out.

Availability: First seen on Vulcanus, it has been seen on almost all of Compile Heart's developed games, including the Hyperdimension Neptunia series (in which, along with the other developer and owner of Compile Heart, Idea Factory, is represented by the character, Compa), Mugen Souls Z, Gun Gun Pixies, and Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force, among others.
