Logo (1985-1986)

Visuals: On a black background, a blue-outlined globe is rotating. When the globe reaches Europe, it freezes, as the text "CONVERGE VIDEO PRESENTS" (with a segmented circle between "CONVERGE" and "VIDEO") fades in. The text then flips around several times. It fades out and the globe begins spinning again and zooming out.

Technique: Computer effects.

Audio: A creepy but catchy synthesized xylophone/piano tune, then several claps as the logo wipes, and then music which sounds like an early Sega Mega Drive/Genesis game. This is actually an excerpt from "A Wongga Dance Song" by Ryuichi Sakamoto off of the Esperanto album.

Availability: Only seen on Dutch VHS tapes of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Wulpse Amazones, and Deadbeat.
