Background

The people named in the company are Greg Coote and Jeffery Hayes.

Logo (February 1999-August 2, 2006)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a box with a red and white-striped sheet in it, making waves. There is a blue sky above it. Below the box is "COOTE/HAYES PRODUCTIONS", which initially glows but almost immediately dims. The sheet stops waving, and stars twinkle in the sky, causing a bright flash that turns the image into a 2D stylized version with the sky replaced by a blue field with stars in it.

Trivia: The stars are in the pattern of those that appear on the Australian flag, where Coote/Hayes is based.

Variants:

  • The logo may simply read "COOTE/HAYES".
  • A longer version exists. The letters zoom out from a different angle, the flag waves more, then the stars fly from outside the box and come on to the inside of it.

Technique: CGI animation.

Audio: A majestic tune with piano and drums, and a booming final note as the logo becomes stylized.

Availability: Seen on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World and BeastMaster.
