1st Logo (November 3, 1989-1993)

Visuals: The sequence starts with blue and white stripes (ala the Cuban flag) sliding into place. After some time, the screen fades to red and a white star in the center fades in. The logo fades to a top-down view of a 3D star-shaped building (José Martí Memorial). The camera pans up and then down through the building before zooming out to reveal a statue of José Martí, zooming out into a comfortable distance to reveal the whole building with the text in orange:

CUBA
Visión

and a number 6 in orange red.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A synth fanfare that becomes majestic after the initial four notes.

2nd Logo (1993-2003)

Visuals: On a blue background, there is a sphere with two split lines at the bottom and a zig-zag shape on the top quarter. The line segments are light blue whilst the top part is green. The sphere rolls towards the camera before stopping, with the green bit facing the screen. The sphere slowly rotates upwards as "cubavisión" flies from the sphere, turning and zooming in. The sphere and text position themselves. Later a light blinks on the line above the o.

Variants:

  • On a bright cyan background, there is a closeup of the lighthouse of the Castillo del Morro in Havana, which then suddenly zooms out to reveal the entirety of the fortress. The camera then zooms out to reveal a green landscape, most likely the terrain of nearby Havana, and a gray broadcasting tower with multiple small satellites protruding out of it. A sphere with two split lines at the bottom and a green ziz-zag shape on the top quarter (the Cubavisión logo) spins and zooms in, then centering on the screen, in which it freezes for a second. The map of Havana in the background then zooms out and eventually reveals a map of the entirety of Cuba. While this is happening, outlined red, white and blue text reading "tvc" appears, turning and rotating to the left, while the sphere centered in the "C" spins in a 360 degree angle.
  • There is also a variant of the signon/signoff ident where instead of showing an animation of the 1994 "tvc" logo of Cubavisión, it instead shows the regular sphere ident.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: For the first (regular) variant, a Latin-flavored synth-pop fanfare. For the second (signon/signoff) variant, a tropical-sounding synth piece that ends with the former's mnemonic.

3rd Logo (2003-2007)

Visuals: On a blue tunnel that is on a black background, an outlined circle forms, as other outlined circles also coming together and making a re-rendered version of the sphere from the previous logo. "cubavisión" then slides in under the sphere.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Same as the previous logo.
