Background

Czechoslovak Television (or ČST) was the state television broadcaster of Czechoslovakia. Founded on May 1, 1953, it was known by three names over its lifetime: Czech: Československá Televize, Slovak: Československá Televízia (until 1990) and Česko-Slovenská Televízia (from 1990 until 1992).

1st (known) logo (1963-1969)

Visuals: On a grey background, a white CRT shape is seen, with a split along the center top, a curve along the top left side, and 2 points extending out from the top right corner, forming the abstract letters "Čt". Inside it are two opposite triangle shapes, one being white and other one being black.

Visuals: On a cyan background, a brown circle zooms in before turning yellow. It then splits in half in a wavy form (forming the s) and the halves move slightly apart, also stretching the right side of the circle a bit. A television shape draws itself around it with a curve on the top right corner and 2 different lines sticking out from the top right corner, forming the logo. 6 lines, 2 green, 2 red and 3 blue appear from either side of the logo and zoom towards the front/sides of the screen before fading out and reappearing.
