Background

The DIC Kids Network, and branded simply as "The Incredible World of DIC" on-screen, was a syndicated television block that aired select DIC programs to syndicated television stations in order to fulfill their mandatory E/I criteria, as well as some third-party acquisitions. It was distributed by Tribune Entertainment from 2003 until 2007, and Ascent Media from 2007 until 2009.

The block launched on September 1, 2003 and was rebranded as the Cookie Jar Kids Network on August 31, 2009.

Logo (September 1, 2003-August 29, 2009)

Visuals: The shortened version of the 2001 DIC logo plays. Then, the logo opens up to reveal the logo's background and effects, with the white circle (normally blue) containing artwork for one of the shows on the block, along with the show title.

Show Variants:

  • Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century - The "clockface" part of the logo rotates as the logo text zooms onto it.
  • Sabrina: The Animated Series - On a night background are Sabrina and Salem riding a broomstick. The show's logo blurs onto the bottom left of the screenshot.
  • Archie's Weird Mysteries - On a black background, there is a card featuring the show's main cast, with the show's logo spinning to the middle of the screen.
  • The Littles - Tom, Lucy and Dinky Little are riding on a rocket, similar to that in the show's closing credit sequence. The show's logo spins to the top left.
