Background

A wholly owned subsidiary of Deltamac Co., Ltd.. Deltamac has been a major video distributor in Hong Kong since 1992. In 1998, CMC Group became the majority shareholder of Deltamac Group.

1st Logo (1997-2000)

Logo: We see multiple trailing shooting stars in yellow rotate to the center of a purple space background. Then the spinning "DM" in golden is revealed, zooming back while star trails are seen moving around it. The logo settles looking at the right, and the letters turn into magenta and aquamarine respectively, with filmstrip-styled black borders. The Chinese text in golden rotates below with these star trails, and the text "DELTAMAC (TAIWAN) CO.,LTD." in white emerges from white particles. The logo shines a bit.

Technique: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: A repeating orchestral synth arpeggio, with ascending brass notes, a whoosh, and a brief timpani roll leading to some strings. Other whoosh sounds are heard when the texts appear. At the end, a twinkling ambience is heard.

Availability: Rare.

2nd Logo (2000-2006)

Logo: We see a starfield background with a blue nebula shown on the center. A flash emerges from the center, bringing up a rotating gold-colored filmreel. Filmstrip pieces shoot out from the filmreel as it moves closer to the front. It rotates to the side, and another flash emerges from the center, changing the filmreel into the letters "DM" from the previous logo which rotate into perspective and have filmstrip-style borders. The logo settles looking at the right side. Then the Chinese text and "Deltamac (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd." fades in below the logo.

Variant: In 2003, the text would be shortened into "Deltamac Co. Ltd".

Technique: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: A heroic fanfare with drums and trumpets.

Availability: Uncommon. Found on VCDs and early DVD releases such as Seven Sords.

3rd Logo (2006- )
