'''Editor's Note''': The logo’s obscurity is eclipsed only by the obscurity of the one show it appeared on. NBC had axed animated programming due to low ratings, leaving the show in flux until it was burned off time after to fulfill broadcasting agreements. Its short time on air as well as its lack of promotion, existing footage and limited information made it one of the more infamous pieces of lost media.

1st Logo (August 8-15, 2000)

Visuals: In front of a desert background (complete with cacti, mountains, and an animal skull), there is a smiling rat with a tuft of blonde hair wearing cutoff jeans and a sleeveless white T-shirt. He's holding a beverage and giving the peace sign. To the left of him, there are the words "DESERT RAT" in a stylized font.

Technique: Digital ink-and-paint.

Audio: None.

Availability: This was only seen on Sammy, which was only aired twice before NBC retired their animated sitcom block.

Legacy: Before its mid-2021 rediscovery, Sammy was considered a prime example of lost media. By extension, this logo would have also been considered lost media, making it a contender for one of the most obscure logos of all-time (second only to the partially-found T.A.T. Communications logo).

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: The sounds of the typewriter typing with a dropping sound or the closing theme.

Availability: Can be seen on Lights Out with David Spade on Comedy Central as well as The Netflix Afterparty on Netflix.
