This is David Spade's vanity card.

1st Logo (August 8-15, 2000)

Logo: In front of a desert background (complete with cacti, mountains, and an animal skull), we see a smiling rat with a tuft of blonde hair wearing cutoff jeans and a sleeveless white T-shirt. He's holding a beverage and giving the peace sign. To the left of him, we see the words:

DESERT RAT

in a stylized font.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Extinct. This was only seen on Sammy, which was only aired twice before NBC retired their animated sitcom block. All 13 episodes are available on YouTube in full.

Legacy: Before its mid-2021 rediscovery, Sammy was considered a prime example of lost media. For decades, the only surviving evidence of the show were promotional stills, newspaper ads, and character design sheets. By extension, this logo would have also been considered lost media, making it a contender for one of the most obscure logos of all-time (second only to the partially-found T.A.T. Communications "Lost Star" Logo).

2nd Logo (July 29, 2019- )

Logo: On a white background with grey outer vignette, we see a cartoon illustration of an unconscious brown rat wearing red boxers, falling, and hitting the ground. A red cup falls out of his hand and rolls beside the rat. To the right of him, the words:

appear letter by letter in a typewriter font.

Technique: The rat falling, it's cup rolling around on the ground, the appearance of the letters.

Music/Sounds: The sounds of the typewriter typing with a dropping sound or the closing theme.

Availability: Can be seen at the end of Lights Out with David Spade on Comedy Central, as well as The Netflix Afterparty on Netflix.
