Background
This is the production company of Dino De Laurentiis.
Dino De Laurentiis Distribuzione
Logo (July 16, 1954-1960s)
Visuals: On a black background is a still image of a lion statue. Then, the arched name "DINO DE LAURENTIIS" fades in above the lion. The word "distribuzione" ("distribution" in Italian), fades in under the logo.
Technique: A live-action photograph with superimposed text.
Audio: A triumphant score with chorus, in which the first part plays on a black background, and the second on the logo.
Availability: This logo can be found on Fellini's La Strada.
Dino de Laurentiis Communications
Logo (1990-1994)
Visuals: There is a red outline of a circle and a long rectangle. The lion from the previous logo fades in, along with the words "DINO DE LAURENTIIS COMMUNICATIONS" which is placed inside the long rectangle.
Variant: Sometimes, the word "presents" fades in below the logo.
Technique: Fading effects.
Audio: None.
Availability: Can be seen on international prints of Army of Darkness, Body of Evidence, and 3 Ninjas.
Dino de Laurentiis Company
1st Logo (February 23, 1996-February 9, 2001)
Visuals: There is a print version of the Dino de Laurentiis Communications logo, but with the name shortened to "DDLC". The full name "DINO DE LAURENTIIS COMPANY" is shown below.
Variant: On Hannibal, the full name doesn't appear.
Technique: A printed image made using traditional ink and paint.
Audio: The closing theme of the movie.
Availability: It appears on films such as Unforgettable, Bound, Breakdown, U-571, and Hannibal.
2nd Logo (September 30, 2002-)
Visuals: There is a closeup of the lion statue from the first logo, shrouded in darkness against a night sky. As the screen zooms out, it becomes daytime via a lens flare, revealing the statue in gold with rays of light beaming behind it. The sequence continues zooming out as the image becomes encased in a box on a starfield background. "DDLC" fades in above the box and the name "DINO DE LAURENTIIS COMPANY" fades in below.
Variant: On The Last Legion and Hannibal Rising, nothing fades in below the box.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: The opening/closing theme of the movie/show.
Availability: Appears on Red Dragon, The Last Legion, and Hannibal Rising. Also seen on the Hannibal TV series.
The De Laurentiis Company
Logo (July 9, 2015-)
Visuals: On a stormy blue-orange sunset background with lightning striking, a golden lion statue similar to those from the previous logos is seen roaring. As this happens, a dark blue/green bar fades below the lion as the 3D letters "DLC", set in a serif font and colored in a blue-red gradient, fade in below said line, while a red flash of light draws another dark blue/green line below the "DLC". Meanwhile, the words "THE DE LAURENTIIS COMPANY", colored gold and set in a serif font, zoom out from the bottom of the screen while turning towards the viewer, settling below the bottom line.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: The closing theme of the show.
Availability: Seen on the Hannibal TV series starting with "Dolce".
