Background
Disc Plaza Entertainment was the US distributor of Canadian-based bargain bin distributor Cascadia Entertainment, located in West Hollywood, CA while original locations still seemed to be located somewhere in Canada. They filed for bankruptcy in 2007 and closed down along with Cascadia Entertainment. They haven't released many titles.
Logo (2002-2008)
Visuals: On a purple background, there is a sky blue circle that shines and spins. The picture then zooms out into a box and reveals it was an abstract disc. The letters "Disc" appear letter by letter, followed by the text "PLAZA" appear and then the word "Entertainment" slides up. The logo then zooms away.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A corporate style synth fanfare, particularly stock based music.
Audio Trivia: A full version of this jingle exists. A portion can be heard on the 1994 animated film, Blue Seagull.
Availability: Their releases are long out-of-print. You can see it on bargain bin DVDs from them.
