Revision as of 03:57, 14 May 2024
This article is about Disney Junior's production logos. For their station, see Disney Junior.
It is possible that this company may introduce a new on-screen logo.
Details: Disney Junior may change its logo in the near future as seen here. The United States Patent and Trademark Office filed the trademark on January 24, 2024 to use in the future, it is only a matter of time before the channel's rebrand. Recently in May, promotional material for the upcoming animated series Ariel has been using the new logo, alongside a Live on Tour promotion, but as the 2011 logo is still the most used, no one should jump the gun until an official 2024 logo debuts.
Please do not add ending dates to existing logos or attempt to add a new description until a new logo has debuted. Any premature changes should be reverted immediately.

Background
Disney Junior is a children's television block that premiered on February 14, 2011 on Disney Channel replacing Playhouse Disney. Since March 22, 2012, said block became the current 24-hour channel replacing SOAPnet on most providers. However, SOAPnet still survived on some providers as an "automated" network until its end on January 1, 2014.
Logo (February 14, 2011-)
Standard version
Fullscreen version
Logo with copyright notice
From the beginning of a 2012 Mini CITV (a block on CITV from 2009-2013 meant for preschoolers) airing of an episode of Special Agent Oso.
From the beginning of the December 17th 2012 Mini CITV (a block on CITV from 2009-2013 meant for preschoolers) airing of an episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
This logo is used as a looping sign off in the UK. The words "THE MAGIC RETURNS AT 6am" appear at the bottom.
Visuals: There is the Disney Junior logo (with the letters in the word, "Junior" with "i" in the Mickey Mouse suit and a Mickey Mouse head as the dot, in Futura Extra Bold, bouncing in a few times and has "DiSNEY" in its corporate font above "Junior"), zooming out. After that, fireworks fly behind the logo.
Trivia: The fireworks are likely inspired by those of the 2006 Walt Disney Pictures logo and The Wonderful World of Disney intros.
Variants:
On some newer prints of Little Einsteins episodes (namely "The Incredible Shrinking Adventure"), the 2003 variant of the 2002 Playhouse Disney logo is seen: this is most likely a reverse plastering job.
On one 2013 episode and some 2011 episodes of Art Attack, a copyright notice appears under the logo.
On some newer prints of episodes of Out of the Box, the 2001 Playhouse Disney Channel logo is seen: this is also a reverse plastering job.
A short version exists.
On Marvel's Spidey and His Amazing Friends, the logo is superimposed, with the animation intact, and there are no fireworks.
On CITV airings of various Disney Junior original shows, the word "PRODUCTION" fades in at the bottom.
A still variant of this exists with the word "PRODUCTION" in sky blue.
In the UK, this logo was used as a looping sign-off. The words "THE MAGIC RETURNS AT 6am" appear at the bottom.
Technique: CGI, done by We Are Royale in Los Angeles, California. The animation was created using Cinema 4D, Photoshop and Illustrator.
Audio: A suspenseful string build-up featuring a faint rising synth precedes a four note orchestrated tune (adapted from Disney Junior's signature jingle composed by David Norland).
Audio Variants:
Sometimes, the end theme plays over it, or it is silent.
Sometimes, the sounds of fireworks exploding are heard, timed with the notes of the music. This is often omitted.
On the shortened version, the theme is shortened to just the 4 notes.
On a DisneyNOW print of Imagination Movers, this logo has the music of the 2007 Playhouse Disney Originals logo: this is most likely a plastering error.
The UK's looping sign-off uses no music, and the sounds are fireworks exploding and crowds cheering and talking.
On Disney+'s prints of Little Einsteins, the French audio track of this logo has the music of the 2002 Playhouse Disney Originals logo: this is also a plastering error, while the English and Latin American Spanish tracks use the correct Disney Junior theme.
On the CITV variant and some PAL airings of shows, the logo is high-pitched.
Availability:
This logo appears on newer programs such as Jake and the Never Land Pirates, Doc McStuffins, Henry Hugglemonster, Puppy Dog Pals, Sheriff Callie’s Wild West, and Sofia The First.
It also appears on new prints of shows that were on Playhouse Disney such as Handy Manny, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einsteins, Stanley, Rolie Polie Olie, The Book of Pooh, JoJo's Circus, The Koala Brothers, Higglytown Heroes, Imagination Movers, Out of the Box and Special Agent Oso, plastering the Playhouse Disney Originals logo, which was originally seen on pre-2011 episodes/prints of said shows.
It can also be seen on Prime Video prints of the third season of Timmy Time.
This logo is also strangely seen on HD-remastered Disney XD reruns of Lilo & Stitch: The Series (likely due to the show airing on the UK channel and possibly some other countries), plastering the 2002 and 2007 Disney Channel Originals logos.
Also appears at the beginning of BTVision prints of some of their shows.
This logo does not appear on shows that Disney acquired from international countries, such as Bluey, PJ Masks, Kiya & the Kimoja Heroes, Dino Ranch, Kate and Mim-Mim, or Gigantosaurus as even though Disney holds international broadcasting rights, their respective production companies still hold main rights to the respective shows.
The CITV variant was only seen on airings of Disney Junior shows on Mini CITV, which was CITV's preschool block.
Despite the network's branding becoming changed in the future, this logo is still in use as of this writing.
Some international prints delete the logo, for example UK airings from around 2012.
