Visuals: On a light brown paper background, there are the letters "D" and "ZER" being written in by a hand (presumably belonging to Bill Lawrence himself) with a pencil. - A widescreen version exists, which debuted on the final two seasons as well as widescreen prints of the first seven seasons of Scrubs. On the pilot, it is cropped to 16:9; early season 1 episodes had the original 4:3 aspect ratio with two blurred cropped left and right edges.
- Starting in 2014, the logo was redone. The paper is now gold, the pencil is longer, and the company name is in a slightly different font.
Technique: Live-action and 2D animation by WunderFilm.
Audio: A baby's voice (Bill Lawrence's daughter, Charlotte) saying "Bye-bye!", followed by two footsteps and a raspberry. Sometimes, the closing theme plays over it or has a generic network announcement.
