Background
Doozer is the production company of Bill Lawrence. The company's name is a play on Lawrence's middle name, Van Duzer.
(October 2, 2001- )
Nickname: "Bye-Bye! Pfft!"
Logo: On a light brown paper background, we see the red letters "D" and "ZER" being written in. The hand that wrote it then draws a face with sunglasses between "D" and "ZER". This forms the word "DOOZER".
Variants:
- The logo is occasionally shortened.
- A true 16:9 widescreen version exists. This variant debuted on the final two seasons as well as widescreen prints of the first seven seasons of Scrubs.
- On widescreen prints of the Scrubs pilot "My First Day", the logo is cropped to 16:9.
- On widescreen prints of early season 1 episodes of Scrubs, the logo's original 4:3 aspect ratio, and has two blurred cropped left and right edges.
- In 2014, this logo was redone. The paper is now yellow, the hand holding the pencil is different, and "DOOZER" is in a slightly different font.
FX/SFX: The hand writing in the logo.
Music/Sounds: A baby's voice (Bill Lawrence's daughter, Charlotte) saying "Bye-bye!", followed by two footsteps and a raspberry. Sometimes appears with the closing theme of the show over or running through it, or has generic NBC/ABC/Fox promos playing over it.
Availability: Can be seen on reruns and DVD releases of Scrubs. Also appeared on Confessions of a Dog, Cougar Town, Surviving Jack, Ground Floor, Clone High, Life Sentence, Rush Hour, Undateable, and Ted Lasso.
Editor's Note: None.
