Background
Doozer is the production company of Bill Lawrence, the creator of Scrubs, Clone High (with Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (who also own a production company, Lord Miller) and Cougar Town (along with Kevin Biegel, who also owns a production company, Palace Flophouse). The company's name is a play on Lawrence's middle name, Van Duzer. It was founded in 1998.
(October 2, 2001- )
Nickname: "Bye-Bye! Pfft!"
Logo: On a light brown paper background, we see the letters "D" and "ZER" being written in. The hand that wrote it then draws a face with sunglasses between the space, forming the word "DOOZER".
Variants:
- The logo is occasionally shortened.
- A widescreen version exists, which debuted on the final two seasons as well as widescreen prints of the first seven seasons of Scrubs. On the pilot, it is cropped to 16:9 while early season 1 episodes had the original 4:3 aspect ratio with two blurred cropped left and right edges.
- Starting in 2014, the logo was redone. The paper is now yellow, the hand holding the pencil is different, and the company name is in a slightly different font.
FX/SFX: The hand writing in the logo.
Music/Sounds: A baby's voice (Bill Lawrence's daughter, Charlotte) saying "Bye-bye!", followed by two footsteps and a raspberry. Sometimes, the closing theme plays over it or has a generic network announcement.
Availability: Can be seen on Scrubs. Also appeared on Confessions of a Dog, Cougar Town, Surviving Jack, Ground Floor, Clone High, Life Sentence, Rush Hour, Undateable, Ted Lasso, and the 2021 reboot of Head of the Class.
Editor's Note: None.
