1st Test Card (1990-1994)
Visuals: On a black background, a blue vertical bar slides in from the left to the right (with a blue glow on the left side of the bar). Six more bars do the same, each colored red, magenta, cyan, green, yellow and white, eventually forming the iconic SMPTE color bars screen. After ten seconds, the bars wipe away vertically in different directions, with segmented areas behind each one.
Technique: 2D computer animation.
Audio: A snippet of the Jane Wiedlin song "Tangled" plays. At the beginning, a male voiceover is heard saying "Para seu conforto e qualidade, ajuste agora as cores e o som do seu equipamento."
Availability: It can be seen on VHS releases from the era, before the warning screen. [Examples?]
