1st Test Card (1990-1994)
Visuals: On a black background, seven differently colored bars slide in from the left to the right (with glows on the left side of each bar in said color), one after another, eventually forming the iconic SMPTE color bars screen. After ten seconds, the bars slide away wipe away vertically in different directions, with segmented areas behind each one.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A snippet of the Jane Wiedlin song "Tangled" plays. At the beginning, a male voiceover is heard saying "Para seu conforto e qualidade, ajuste agora as cores e o som do seu equipamento."
Availability: It can be seen on VHS releases from the era, before the warning screen. [Examples?]
