Background

Al Sharqiya (meaning "The Eastern One") is the first privately-owned satellite Iraqi television channel launched on 2004.

1st ID (2004-2005)

Visuals: See Variants.

Variants:

  • Butterfly: On a white background, there is a closeup of a mechanical butterfly's wing. We then see clips of the butterfly forming from the beginning. We then see another set of clips of the mechanical butterfly turning into a realistic-looking blue butterfly. It then proceeds to fly to the left side of the screen. We then see the butterfly flying yet again, only much further. As it goes offscreen, the text "Hope for life" fades in, along with the network's name, and later its logo, an abstract Kufic-like "الشرقية", with the top dot on one of its letters red.

Unknown

Technique: All animated using CGI, made by Etana Production.

Audio: Depending on the variant.
