Ale Kino+

1st ID (2011-2014)

Visuals: On a red background, the camera zooms in through a number of spotlights, the screen flashing while passing by some of them. Several transparent lines showing a distorted version of the sequence briefly fade in and out. At the end, they all zoom in from right to left, just as the Ale Kino+ logo also appears the same way. The black rectangle appears first before a tilted red rectangle appears over it, with its upper right corner flipping.

Variants: Depending on the type of programming, there are unique sequences. The one described above is used for the majority of programs as well as commercial break bumpers.

  • Film : The camera slowly goes upwards as we get a side view of what seems to be the doors of some sort of closet, with a few lights coming in through the gaps from outside.
  • Kino Mowi : The camera zooms out from a square in the middle of the screen, revealing converging rectangles around it, while rotating from the right to the left.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Each sequence ends with a 4-note choir done in a different way to fit the sequence's corresponding soundtrack.

  • Main sequence : An orchestral action film theme.
  • Film : A chilling soundtrack reminiscent of a horror film, along with gunshot-like sounds.
  • Kino Mowi : A calming soundscape.

Trivia: This entire branding is a mix of Ale Kino+'s french counterpart's, Ciné+, own branding. All music and sounds are repurposed from across the Ciné+ channels, mostly Ciné+ Premier as it and Ale Kino+ share the same color. As both Ciné+ and Ale Kino+ have taken on their current names in 2011, where Canal+ rebranded most of its thematic channels to add a +, this could be considered intentional.

  • The main sequence described above is taken from Ciné+ Premier. Both its long and short versions are reused.
  • The "Film" sequence is taken from Ciné+ Frisson but in a different perspective and in red, rather than Frisson's green.
  • The "Kino Mowi" sequence is taken from Ciné+ Club but with shades of red. The Ale Kino+ logo also appears before the choir. This is the only sequence that's also repurposed for the ending credits of that particular program.
