Background

Biostar Microtech Int'l Corp. (also known as the Biostar Group; officially romanized and stylized as BIOSTAR) is a Taiwanese multinational company based in New Taipei City. Active since June 1986, It specializes in computer hardware, specifically motherboards, video cards, expansion cards, and other peripherals.

2nd Screen (2002-2005)

Visuals: Same concept as before, but now taking place on a black background. The triangle has been enlarged and given a 3D effect, and the wordmark is different, now being written in STLiti (a font included with Chinese and Japanese-language versions of Windows) and given a slanted effect, along with a glow behind it. Below that is the URL aligned to the left of the triangle in a sans serif font (which is allegedly also preinstalled with Windows). Under the URL is a white thin line that extends across the screen, but has a white-to-black effect starting a little after the "R".

Variants:

  • Another version of this screen has the URL "stretched" (and possibly in a different font), with an orange-yellow-orange gradient applied. The line below it also distanced from below, and has a black-to-white gradient at the start, in addition to the end.

Technique: None.

Audio: None.

Availability: This logo was also spotted on a Chuck E. Cheese's Sketch Book machine at a Chuck E. Cheese.
