'''Bumper:''' On a cornflower blue background we see the Boomerang Europe logo. The tail part of the g grows longer and forms a character's head, which is then colorized (bumpers made for the UK would usually have the characters facing the left side while bumpers made for other countries would have the characters facing the right side). Under it is some white text saying "Next" or "Later". After the head animates, the character says his famous line or catchphrase. Then, the outline of the character spreads and reforms the Boomerang Europe logo.

Below this we see an orange rounded rectangle with the white words "Tout de suite".The head says his line after which the line from the logo swirls out from the screen, the Retro symbol flips and the head disappears, instead of which a white, yellow-outlined rightwards arrow appears. The logo line swirls from the Retro symbol and it continues swirling until it forms a similar thing from before, only that it is bigger, the Retro symbol along with the rounded rectangle are hot pink and on the rectangle we see the word "Après". Background

These were the coming up next bumpers used for the European versions of Boomerang including: UK & Ireland, Eastern Europe, Central Europe, the Nordic countries, Spain, Italy, Germany and France.

1st Bumper (UK) (May 27, 2000-September 12, 2004)

Visuals: On a background with several Boomerang logos wallpapered, there is the Boomerang logo zooming in and rotating on the middle of the screen. When it stops, character(s) from the respective show appear(s) in it. On the bottom-left corner is the word "NEXT" written in black. After a few seconds, the character(s) disappear from the logo and the screen transits to a clip from the respective show. Then, the bumper reforms.

List of clips used: Unknown

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A trumpet-based tune. An announcer would say "Coming up next, it's [show name], on Boomerang".

Availability: This was used only on Boomerang UK. It was replaced by the 4th bumper described below.

2nd Bumper (France) (April 23, 2003-April 15, 2005)

Visuals: On a customized background showing a place from the respective show, there is the Boomerang logo on the right with the character(s) from the respective show in it. On the left is the show name in French language and in the cursive font. After one second, the words "TOUT DE SUITE" appear from the left on the bottom of the screen. Then the Boomerang logo of the time, again on a customized background, transits in a swing mode.

Variant: When appearing after promos, the time and the hour when the respective show would be seen appear instead of "TOUT DE SUITE" (and sometimes adding different characters or alternative shots of them).

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: "Jungle Jazz" by Kool and the Gang (taken from the 2000 "Packaging" bumper) accompanied by a French announcer saying "Tout de suite, apres la pouse [show name in French], sur Boomerang".

Availability: It was used only on Boomerang France. It was replaced by the 4th bumper described below.

3rd Bumper (Italy) (July 31, 2003-April 5, 2005)

Visuals: On a blue, green, orange or purple background with several white-outlined Boomerang logos wall-papered, on the upper-right corner is a clip from the respective show. After a few seconds, the Boomerang logo comes from the left near the clip (in a blue, yellow, red or purple color) with the show name written on it in the cursive font (most times in Italian but sometimes it's the original English name). • Gadget Boy: titular character: Unknown line.
  • Josie and the Pussycats: Unknown character: Unknown line.
  • Pororo the Little Penguin: titular character: Unknown line.

Variants:

  • The text under the head is always in the language of the country it is shown in ("TOUT DE SUITE" or "ILS REVIENNENT" for France, "Tra Poco" or "Adesso" for Italy, "JETZT", "SPÄTER" or "DANACH" for Germany and "Enseguida" for Spain).
  • A rare version exists. The tail part of the "g" was form several heads partially (in other words, it forms one head halfway, it does not colorize or animate, does another halfway which also does not colorize or animate, etc.), then forms the Boomerang logo as usual. This was seen on shows without a character bumper, such as Pinky and the Brain, The Mask and The Addams Family.
  • On Boomerang France, the background could also be orange, green, pink or yellow.
  • Boomerang France used special bumpers for the Christmas season. In the early years, the background was red-green gradient and the logo was yellow and shiny. In later years, the background was sky blue and the logo was red and surrounded with clouds and bells.
  • While the bumpers only contain headshots of the characters, Germany has some bumpers containing images of the characters (either moving or static).
  • Also, on Boomerang Germany, sometimes instead of the line forming the character and forming back the logo, the screen has a transition between the logo and the character.
  • When appearing on promos, the day and the time when the show can be seen would appear below the headshot.
  • The Ugly Duckling has its own unique bumper. There is the titular Ugly Duckling in her egg (with a sad face). On the left is the show name in German in yellow letters and below it is either "SPÄTER", "JETZT" or "DANACH".
  • Sometimes it appears in the middle of the commercial breaks and there's no text below the head.
  • There's also a split-screen variant of the bumper, seen only on the UK. The bumper is on the left of the screen while the credits are on the right of the screen. There is the head already formed with the letter "N" appearing in yellow font. After a second it disappears and "e" appears in the same style and font. It also disappears after one second followed by "N" appearing again this time in orange along with "x". Then "N" turns red, "e" turns orange, "x" disappears and "t" appears in yellow font. Then "x" returns this time in orange, "N" turns yellow and "e" turns red. Then "t" appears in orange, "e" turns yellow and "N" along with "x" turn red. Finally, the letters turn white one by one. The head says his/her line (if any) followed by the line spriding and forming another character with "Later" appearing in the same style as "Next". The character says his/her line (again, if any) after which the line spreads and forms the Boomerang logo.
  • Some bumpers (such as the George of the Jungle one) might have characters from the show forming instead of random characters.

Technique: 2D computer animation by Hook Up Animation Studios and Yeti Motion Graphics.

Audio: Several sets of music (which were composed by Michael Kohler) were used. An announcer is also heard (different for each country).

Availability: Seen on Boomerang in Europe until 2012 (although it stopped much earlier in some countries, e.g. it stopped in the UK in 2007).

7th Bumper (France) (2011-March 2012)

Visuals: Similar to the 4th bumper, but now it is modernized. There is the Boomerang Europe logo on a white background with a light purple '80s retro symbol wallpapered in the right corner. The logo swirls all the way on the screen after which an orange retro symbol appears in the centre of the trail along with the head of the character from the next show placed on it. Below this, there's an orange rounded rectangle with the white words "Tout de suite". The head says his/her line (if any) after which the line from the logo swirls out from the screen, the retro symbol flips and the head disappears, after which a white, yellow-outlined rightwards arrow appears where the head was. The logo line swirls from the retro symbol and it continues swirling until it forms a similar thing from before, only that it is bigger, the retro symbol along with the rounded rectangle are hot pink and on the rectangle, there's the word "Après". After the head says his/her line (again, if any), the line swirls until it reforms the Boomerang Europe logo.

Character heads used:

  • Tom and Jerry/Tom and Jerry Tales: Tom is smiling and Jerry gets out from his mouth, waving to the viewers.

  • George of The Jungle: George
  • Dive Olly Dive: Olly

Variants:

  • When appearing before the respective show starts, on the first part of the bumper the words "C'est parti!" appears instead of "Tout de suite".
  • A promo version also exists. On this the logo line swirls until it forms a hot pink retro symbol with the character's head from the promoted show on the centre. Below this there's a white rounded rectangle with the date and time when the show will air, written in blueberry blue. The head says his/her line (if any) after which the logo line swirls until it forms the logo.

Technique: Computerized animation is used for the bumper, except for the character heads which are drawn in traditional animation (if the show is CGI, then the head is also computerized, just like the show).

Audio: Same as the 4th bumper, but with modernized sound effects attached to it. Since it's a double bumper, two different musics are heard.
