Background:

Canal 10 (SAETA) is an Uruguayan TV channel operated by Grupo Fontaina. It was the first TV network in Uruguay, and the fourth in Latin America.

1st Logo (1990-1991)

1st Logo (1991-1992?)

Logo: A gradient background changes from orange to blue. In it, several parts of the Canal 10 logo (like the arrow or the CBS logo shape). The complete logo in 3D and zooming to the screen, below and above appear the words "CXB 10 TV CANAL 10 SAETA" and "MONTEVIDEO - URUGUAY", both in brown.

2nd Logo (1992?-1994)

Logo: On the background, we see the the "eye" spins and the screen appears, then the "arrow" flies into the screen and the eye to forming the logo, finally, the logo rotates and pans the screen.

FX/SFX: The logo flying and spinning.

Music/Sounds: The bells which are "ID and logo #45" from "VT036 Classic IDs And Logos Vol. 2". The soundtrack is composed by Dom Massaro.

3rd Logo (1994-2001)

Logo: On the background with the Uruguay flag, we can saw a sliver ball with rainbow-colored, then the ball rotated on the right side to saw a rainbow-colored screen and small ball inside on ball, then, the ball disappears and the "screen" with the "arrow" fly to the "eye" rotates to the front... (Rest TBA) ...The balls zoomed out and the screen and the arrow fly to forming the logo.

Variants: In the first version, the background was dark blue. This saw on the Startup sequence.

FX/SFX: The logo flying and spinning.

Music/Sounds/Voice-over: The edited of the last part of a track "Sentinel" from Tubular Bells II by Mike Oddfield. Sometimes, the voice was heard saying various announcements; these are seen below:

  • 1995-1997: "Canal 10, vía satélite para todo el país." (Channel 10, via satellite for the whole country.)
  • 1999-2001: "Para todo el país, vía satélite, Canal 10, el canal uruguayo."

Editor's Note: The ball of the logo rotates like Rede Globo from Brazil.

4th Logo (2001-2006)

Logo: On the white background, we can see the 3D Canal 10 logo spinning, and has the black text at the bottom. The text was written "EL CANAL URUGUAYO" (The Uruguayan channel) or "AQUÍ SE HACE TELEVISIÓN". (Television is made here.)
