2nd Logo (1993-1994)

Videos

Logo: We see the earth, then a laser beam appears, and the Star TV logo appears, for the channel variant, we see the Star TV logo and zooms out in a different camera, and then it zooms out to the inner Star.

Variants:

  • Star Plus: We see the channel variant of the Star TV ident, and then stars and ribbons spin and make colors, and form the Star Plus logo.

FX/SFX: TBA.

Music/Sounds: A voiceover saying "You're watching the Star TV Network, serving around 33 (or 53) countries around the region.", also in Chinese, for the channel variant, The same voiceover says "You're watching the Star TV Network, and you are now watching [CHANNEL NAME]", it also in Chinese again.

3rd Logo (1994-1995)

  • Star Movies: We see the doubled outlined star spinning, while the filmstrip follows it, then the strip rolls, then the Star Movies logo goes up.

4th Logo (1995-1998)

Logo: We see the orange lasers, then the Star TV logo spins, and then it zooms out to the Star TV logo.

Variants:

  • Channel V: We begin with the Star TV logo, then it transitions into a 2D animation, and then a hand holds the "V", and the rest of the logo appears.
  • Star Chinese Channel: We begin with the Star TV logo, then it fades out to the Chinese persons doing karate, and then the Star forms the Star Chinese Channel logo.
  • Star Movies: We begin with the Star TV logo, then the "TV" in the Star disappears and the Star is spinning, then it fades into the background of movies in orange tint, the Star Movies logo (the same as the Star TV Network logos, but below is replaced with MOVIES) appears.
    • Before action movies, the ident goes normal, until the Star Movies logo transitions into a structure that looks like 20th Century Fox's 1994 structure, and the 20th Century Fox text is replaced with the Star Movies 3D logo with few differences, the "STAR" text was removed, and "ACTION" is seen spinning across the star.
    • For the Chinese variant, the "MOVIES" text and the text behind the logo are translated into Chinese. Also, the faces are different.
  • Star Plus: We begin with the Star TV logo, then the background fades to the studio, and then the Star forms the Star Plus logo.
  • Star World: Same as the Star Plus ident but the logo is replaced with Star World.
  • Viva Cinema: We begin with the Star TV logo, then the background fades into the filmstrip and a control room, the Star TV logo spins into the Viva Cinema logo, it was used until 2001 when the Star TV logo changed.

Music/Sounds: Voiceover saying "This is STAR, and you're watching [CHANNEL NAME]", varies when it's Chinese, Hindi, Tamil, or Tagalog.

  • Star Movies:
    • Normal and Chinese versions use the short fanfare.
    • Action version used the fanfare but additional notes and a repeat of the short fanfare.
  • Star Plus/World: A piano notes, and then a low pitched 3 piano notes, and then a long ending note.

5th Logo (1998-2001)

Variants:

  • Star Chinese Channel: Same as the 1996 variant but the Star TV logo animation uses the current.
  • Star Chinese Movies: We see a Chinese actor talking inside the Star Chinese Movies logo on the black background.
  • Star Movies: We begin with the Star TV logo, and then the Star Movies logo appears.
    • One of the variants has the Star Movies logo spinning and when it reveals, it transitions into scenes from one of the movies, until the Star Movies logo from the beginning appears, and a scene from a movie.
  • Star News: We begin with the Star TV logo, and it fades into the globe, and the text "Breakfast News" appears.
    • For the normal variant, it instead forms the Star News logo.
  • Star Sports: We begin with the Star TV logo, then the Star Sports logo spins, and then the website "espnstar.com" appears one by one.
  • Star World: We begin with the Star TV logo, then the globe appears and the Star TV logo spins into the Star World logo.

  • Channel V (2001-2009): We begin with the Star TV logo, and then we see a stop-motion animation on the white background, 2 spacemen got eaten by an alien monster, and then the spaceman trying to fight back, and then the alien monster vomits a TV with the Channel V logo inside, and 3D animation of Channel V logo forming, and then the Channel V logo goes up in the stop-motion animation.
  • Channel V (Taiwan, 2009-2018): We see the robotics forming the logos, and the text V spins like particles, the V forms, and the brackets go to the V, and then the word "channel" appears.
  • Channel V (Thailand, 2009-2014): We see a girl doing at work using the printer, then a shadow monster goes in and then a girl presses a button, and the Channel V logo appears on a paper.
  • Channel V (2011-2020): We see the audio lines with text: "[V] plays music" above it one by one, and then the Channel V HD logo appears.
  • Star Chinese Movies (2001-2008): Same as the Star Movies 2001 ident, but the logo is white and blue and the logo is Chinese, and after the Star TV logo, it was a blue-tinted ident.
  • Star Chinese Movies (2008-2012): Same as the Star Gold 2005 ident, but the Star Gold logo was replaced by the Chinese logo from the last ident, and then the slogan says this in Chinese: "The Most Focus of the Film Industry"
  • Star Movies (2001-2009): We begin with the Star TV logo, and then the filmstrip with all of the frames has the Star TV logo moves and the ident camera goes in many views, then the Star Movies logo appeared.
  • Star Movies (2009-present): We see the studio spotlight (that had color varies in variants) and the Star Movies logo in front of it without an "O", and then the lines (according to color in variants) form a letter O and then the Star Movies logo appeared.
    • Blue: Same but the lights and lines are blue, Used during nighttime.
    • Orange: Same but the lights and lines are orange, Used during daytime.
  • Star Movies (the Philippines, 2014-2017): TBA.
  • Star Movies (Taiwan, 2012-2014): We begin with the Fox International Channels logo, and then it zooms out to the 2009 orange variant.
  • Star Movies (Taiwan, 2014): We begin with the Fox International Channels logo, and then it zooms out to the Star Movies logo with the words "MOVIES" painted in spotlights.
  • Star Movies (Taiwan, 2014-2016): We begin with the Fox International Channels logo, and then a letter O spins into the popcorn friends on the left, and Star Movies logo is stuck into the number "69" on it, and then letter O (FOX text) spins back.
  • Star Movies HD (India, 2011-2019): We see the man, the car appears, then it driving on the bridge, and then hits the wall, and then the man got into the forests, and then runs into the building rooftop and then falls, and hits in the town similar to Chinatown, and then orange smoke appears and the same HD animation logo from Star World HD appears, and then it spins to the Star Movies HD logo.
  • Star World (2001-2005): We begin with the Star TV logo, and then the lines with the Star World logo on the camera form from the end to the left, and then the Star World logo appears.
  • Star World (2005-2008):
    • We see the ribbons, they spin and move, then the Star World logo forms by ribbons.
    • For the 3rd variant, we see the arrows, then it crashes, and then in slow-motion, after, the Star World logo appears.
  • Viva Cinema (2001-2003): Same as the 1996 variant, but the Star TV logo animation now uses the current.
  • Xing Kong (2001-2012):
    • For the first variant, We see the red background similar to the main Star TV ident, and the Xing Kong logo had been split into parts, and then it reassemble and the words: "www.xingkong.com.cn" appear.
    • Starting in 2006, it has changed: The ident was shortened to the last 5 seconds, it had been removed the voiceover and "This is STAR" animation.

FX/SFX: Most of idents are CGI animation/live-action. The Channel V Thailand (2009-2014) ident is 2D.

Music/Sounds: A alien theme sound and a voice same as the last 2 logos, and then the audio music/sounds, for the Star News (2001-2005 and 2005-2012) variant it uses different music.

Logo: On a white background, we see the STAR TV logo in blue to the left, with the text "STAR" and Chinese text below. Underneath is the byline "A News Corporation Company".

Variant: At the end of Hot Summer Days, it is bylineless.

FX/SFX: None; it's a still logo.

Music/Sounds: None.

Disney Star

Note: This video can be seen here.

Logo: On a white background, we see the famous "Disney" signature drawing itself. When it keeps drawing, we see a Mickey Mouse face in orange fades in, then the "DISNEY" text slides to the left when a vertical line appears and the Star logo with the current symbol from the last two logo slides out to the right reading "DISNEY Star". Then the logo shines and the face's ears moves.

FX/SFX: 2D animation.
