Background

GMA Network is a Philippine television station in Manila. GMA network serves on DZBB-TV Channel 7 Metro Manila.

1st Logo (1989-1992)

2nd Logo (1992-1995)


Nicknames: "Rainbow Satellite", "The GMA Man"

Logo: We start off with the previous variant of the 1974 GMA-Radio Television Arts logo, being closed by two CGI hands, then it opens to reveal a rainbow as we zoom over it, then we fly over the globe to reveal the Philippine map as it flies upward, only to reveal a silver-CGI man holding the rainbow with the globe under it, then the rainbow fades out with the CGI man morphing to the gradient "GMA" text in Sans Serif with "RAINBOW SATELLITE" stacked under and the slogan "WHERE YOU BELONG" zooming out under the logo.

FX/SFX: The CGI hands folding up the previous logo, and the CGI man holding the GMA rainbow.

Music/Sounds: The early version used orchestral tune with Al Torres narrating the following; "Patuloy na naglilingkod sa pamilyang Pilipino, sa sambayanan, at sa buong mundo, GMA, on its 45th year of responsible broadcasting". The later version used a Larry Groupe Winds of Courage theme.

Logo: On a clear daytime sky, a light flashes then it dies down to reveal the mirrored "G", then we see it rotating with the other GMA letters rotating along with the rainbow as we zoom out to its center position, then under a light flashes with the slogan "WHERE YOU BELONG" appearing under the logo in spaced-out-letters.

Variant: On a Ghost Fighter commercial on the network, a short version of the logo plays with the slogan "WHERE HEROES BELONG" fading under.

FX/SFX: The rotating of the logo.

Music/Sounds: A majestic fanfare, sometimes it can be accompanied by Al Torres saying "Ito po ang GMA".
