Background

Grand Brilliance Sdn. Bhd. is one of the major film and television production companies of Malaysia, founded in April 1993.

1st Logo (1995-2005)

Visuals: Over a starfield background, a dark green elliptic shape is shown and a yellow cylindrical beam appears settling at the center of it. The camera rotates upwards while the metallic text "GRAND BRILLIANCE SDN BHD" appears spinning rapidly around the light beam, and two brighter yellow light explosions emerge, forming the zooming initials "GB" in gold. Everything else disappears, and blue and red rays emerge from the letters causing them to change to these colors, with the "G" in blue and the "B" in red. A blue frame with the bottom line extended, containing a divided red/blue section with the white works "SDN BHD" in each side, zooms out fitting into the "GB". The silver text "GRAND BRILLIANCE SDN BHD" and "MEMPERSEMBAHKAN" appears zooming out below the logo, while the blank square section with the "GB" turning into a yellow solid color. A bright blue glow then passes through both of the silver texts.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A triumphant synthesized fanfare with beam and whooshing sounds.

Availability: The logo can be seen on films such as Kad Cinta, Gemerlapan, and Sate.

2nd Logo (2005-2007)

Visuals: The camera passes through a blue/yellow cloudy sky and afterwards, the logo from before is revealed glowing with yellow rays, while the letters of "GRAND BRILLIANCE", in golden, zoom out from the sides into the bottom of it. The rays then diminish, and the logo shines.

Variant: An extended version exists.

Technique: CGI.

Audio:

  • A disco remix of the former logo's fanfare.
  • The extended version utilizes the fanfare from before.

Availability: The normal logo can be seen on television dramas like Susuk, and the extended version is more likely to appear on films, most notably Mukhsin.
